Announcement | MBA? Slayed!

Graduating with a MBA from the best business school on the continent. Phew! This is a dream I fought, sacrificed, worked, cried, studied, pushed myself to realise. With an award for Business Opportunities and Innovation in Africa, Janine Jellars. MBA. I am thankful for the journey, the lessons and pain. To say I am overwhelmed with pure gratitude would be an understatement.

At the start of 2023, I was asked to speak to the new intake at GIBS and I was asked about the highlights of this journey. For me, a massive highlight was confronting - and defeating - so many self-limiting beliefs. As the Humanities Kid in the room full of CAs, engineers and finance professionals, I started this course with imposter syndrome. But I not only survived, I thrived.

Huge thank you to the faculty at GIBS who really took so much time to get to know the students, and understand our strengths and development areas. Thank you to MBA Red Cohort - what a bunch of winners! Thank you to my supervisor Samantha Swanepoel for her immense patience with me.

I can't wait for what's to come 🚀
